Hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose (HPMC) is water-soluble etherwith thermal gelation properties, which has excellent cold-watersoluble and hot water insoluble properties. It is a non-ioniccellulose ether mixture, the solution of non-ionic charges, whichcan’t react with metal salts or ionic compounds. It has PHstability, strong enzyme resistance and metabolic inertia; also hasa good dispersion, emulsification, thickening, adhesion, waterretention and protective colloid properties. Therefore, it iswidely used in construction, paint, synthetic resin, ceramics,tobacco, textile, daily chemical, petrochemical and electronicindustries.
